interlift 2025: New location and further growth

From 14 to 17 October 2025, the lift industry will meet for the first time at Messe Nürnberg. According to the organiser, more exhibition space has already been booked than at the last interlift.

New CEO at the Schindler Group

The Board of Directors of Schindler Holding Ltd. has appointed Paolo Compagna, currently Chief Operating Officer, as new CEO, effective April 1, 2025. He will succeed Silvio Napoli (photo), currently Chairman and CEO.

Obituary Ali Aktaş

Ali Aktaş passed away on 11 September in Izmir. The founder of the Turkish lift, escalator and moving walkway manufacturer Löher was 84 years old. He was active in the company until 2022, most recently as Honorary President.

The UK is converting its landline network from analogue to digital. The copper cables will probably be cut for good at the beginning of 2027. By then, the emergency call systems of lifts must also be converted.
