TKE inaugurates its “Product Competence Center”

TK Elevator (TKE) held a big ceremony in Esslingen to open its new centre for lift technology. Research and development are to be bundled with the production of the latest lift technology on a site of 33,000 m2. This also accommodates a completely digitalised logistics centre.

Aufzugshelden: the story continues

In mid-August, Digital Spine – better known as "Aufzugshelden" (lift heroes) – filed for bankruptcy. But the story is set to continue: the Berlin-Charlottenburg district court, which is responsible for the case, is said to have approved managing director Simon Vestner's restructuring plan.

French lift association demands postponement of 2G and 3G termination

In France, 2G and 3G are scheduled to end at the end of 2026 and 2029 at the latest respectively. The Fédération des Ascenseurs (FAS) is pleading for the shutdowns to be postponed for at least two years.

Deutsche Telekom announces 2G shutdown

Telekom is the first mobile telecommunications provider to announce the date for the planned shutdown of its 2G network in Germany. It is expected to have been removed from the network completely by 30 June 2028.
