“Light Assist” for stairlifts

TK Elevator (TKE) presents Light Assist, an innovation developed specifically for stairlifts. The Light Assist function illuminates the seat and footrest, thereby offering greater safety, comfort, and visibility, according to the company.

Thanks to integrated sensors, Light Assist is automatically activated by nearby movement and adjusts the brightness based on the surrounding lighting conditions. This should enable users to orient themselves better as they approach the stairs and the stairlift. During use, the lights shine onto the stairs, making it easier to spot potential obstacles.

The stairlift is also designed to be more intuitive to use thanks to new belt lighting. An integrated light indicator in the safety belt area clearly shows the status: red means "not closed," green confirms that the belt is correctly fastened. A built-in safety mechanism also prevents the lift from starting until the belt is properly fastened.
