New managing director of the VDMA Trade Association

News

Robert Hild is the new managing director of the VDMA Trade Association Lifts and Escalators. He succeeded Peter Hug on 15 May, who is concentrating on other tasks within the VDMA.

Robert Hild, who has been working in the VDMA since 2012, has filled various roles there. After the technical responsibility for the work group German flat display forum, he worked for five years as a consultant in the office of the executive management. He was responsible there for the committee work of various management and executive committees of the association as well as for representing economic policy tasks and organisational matters related to the association's development. Since 2021, he has been responsible for the Trade Association General Ventilation Technology in the VDMA – he will retain this role along with his new tasks in the VDMA Trade Association Lifts and Escalators.

"I’m looking forward to my new task in a varied environment. Working on the regulations of the lift sector will be just as much the focus of my work as representing the political and technical interests of our industry and the overall building technology sector," Hild noted on his start.
