Elevator Forum 2026: Sustainable modernisation

News

The Elevator Forum series of events will continue this year. The meetings take place every two years and, according to the participating companies, aim to position themselves as a ‘centre of excellence for the lift industry’.

In 2024, the Elevator Forum ventured abroad, with eight events taking place at that time. There are now ten meetings, with Paris and Vienna being added to the list. Experts will once again meet at these ten international locations this year to discuss trends and future topics that are shaping the industry. In 2026, the focus will be on ‘The sustainable modernisation of passenger and freight lifts’.

The organisers in 2026 will include component manufacturers Algi, Cedes, Meiller Aufzugtüren, New Lift, Schaefer and Ziehl-Abegg. According to their own statements, their goal is to ‘create a central platform that connects specialist planners and operators as well as representatives of public institutions’.

What can participants expect?

The Elevator Forum aims to bring experts, manufacturers and users together once again and provide ample opportunity for open discussion and specific questions from the field. Participants will gain a concise overview of current developments in the industry and learn about the trends, standards and requirements that will shape the coming years.

These include topics such as new and future ISO standards, challenges in modernisation, increasing technical complexity, and aspects relating to efficiency, availability and sustainability. In addition, visitors can benefit from direct exchanges with specialists, according to the organisers.
