New project director for the interlift

News

After 30 years of working in the lift sector, Joachim Kalsdorf, project director of the interlift, has stepped back from active working life and handed over the project management to Alexander Stein.

The latter will in future conduct the organisation of the interlift in Nuremberg and "The Elevator Show Dubai".

"We are delighted that in the person of Alexander Stein we have been able to recruit a real trade fair expert, one who has already successfully staged trade fairs for all kinds of industries," declared the managing directors of the trade fair organiser, AFAG, Henning and Thilo Könicke. "We already assisted him when he first became acquainted with the lift sector and will continue to be at his side."

Make personal contacts

Alexander Stein intends to take the opportunity in the coming weeks and months to introduce himself to the sector and make personal contacts. He has almost 25 years of experience in the international trade fair and event business. According to the AFAG, he has been involved with the trade fair business in various professional roles, especially as organiser and also as exhibitor. He was most recently in charge of a leading world trade fair for the food industry.

Before this he worked in event management for an exhibitor group. This was after he had held management positions at a globally active trade fair company and was among other things responsible for the strategic further development of B2B events in the field of building and construction.

Alexander Stein will be supported by the previous project section head Sandra Geißler and the longstanding project manager Joachim Kalsdorf as consultant. The interlift representatives will continue to look after the international contacts: Hanan Wang is responsible for China, Bülent Yilmaz for the MENA states, Angela Vinci for Southern Europe and Priyanka Choudhuri for India.
