Safety in the shaft – Flexibility in the system
Geda has presented the new “Shaft Lift” – a lift solution for use in shafts. It is intended for use both in new construction and renovation projects, the manufacturer of construction and industrial lifts emphasised.
Thanks to its modular design, the Geda Shaft Lift can be flexibly adapted to a wide variety of shaft conditions. “Its lightweight construction and intuitive handling make installation and operation considerably easier,” according to Geda.

Adaptation to almost all shaft configurations
The variable door system allows adaptation to almost all shaft configurations – including through-loading and various sliding gate systems that are compatible with the Geda floor safety system. All components can be dismantled to save space and offer maximum flexibility on the construction site, the manufacturer pointed out.
One of the things that makes installation quick is that only one screw size is required for the entire structure. The base assembly is secured with captive eye bolts. Thanks to the demountable design, all components can be easily transported through a standard door (0.9 × 2 m).
Install during the construction phase
The Geda Shaft Lift can be installed during the construction phase and dismantled and removed without damage once the work is complete. Two powerful drives ensure high conveying capacity. The walkable platform roof enables safe working during maintenance and inspection of the drive unit.
The Shaft Lift has a load capacity of up to 1,300 kg or 13 people and a lifting speed of 40 m/min. The platform dimensions are designed for EURO pallets including pallet trucks. It can be operated with either 32 A or 16 A. All functions can be conveniently configured and floors quickly programmed using the intuitive HMI system with display.
According to the manufacturer, the proven Geda rack and pinion technology guarantees a maintenance-friendly, durable system with stable driving characteristics.
