Röchling Industrial launches 17 million euro construction project

News

The plastics engineering company Röchling Industrial is investing more than 17 million euros in expanding its Xanten location in North Rhine Westphalia.

The location is to undergo comprehensive expansion and modernisation in several construction phases by 2030.

The first of a total of five construction phases got started with a symbolic breaking of the sod. During the first construction phase, production is to be expanded to a modern and sustainable production location on a total area of 3,100 m2, the company press release declared.

As part of the construction project, comprehensive expansion of the production, logistics and administrative areas is planned. The location is specialised in developing and producing large and complex moulds made out of thermo- and duroplastic materials.

In the second construction phase, the order picking and despatch departments are to be directly connected to the production facility on an area of over 1,600 m2. From 2026, a new administrative building will then arise on an area of 1,400 m2, which will unite central departments of the company. The communal areas are also to be expanded and modernised as part of the extensive construction measures.

The site is specialised in developing individual plastic products in the fields of special mould casting, chip removal and assembly of system parts. These are deployed in crane and hoisting technology, lifts and escalators, drinking water and sewage technology and biogas plants.

Röchling Industrial Xanten currently employs 140 staff and 14 trainees. As a result of the expansion, additional jobs are to be created in the coming years.
