Otis takes majority stake in WeMaintain

Otis has acquired a majority stake in WeMaintain, a technology-driven service provider for the lift and escalator industry.

According to Otis, the investment should enable the company to advance its services and service technology.

According to the press release, Otis and WeMaintain will continue to operate as separate entities, with WeMaintain offering its agnostic IoT- and AI-based solutions to current and future customers.

More than 350 employees

WeMaintain was founded in 2017 by Benoît Dupont and Jade Francine. According to its own statements, WeMaintain combines AI-driven insights, IoT-powered data and on-the-ground expertise to deliver “real-time visibility, enhanced operational efficiency and increased asset reliability for building owners and operators”.

WeMaintain operates across Asia and Europe with more than 350 employees and provides services and solutions for elevators, escalators, automatic doors and fire safety systems.
