Networked display system for cross-manufacturer retrofit
Retrofitting display systems in existing lifts is especially challenging for manufacturers. Aspects such as straightforward installation, administration, continuous connectivity and aesthetics are equally important.
Quatronix has presented a solution that aims to do justice to all of these requirements with its newly-developed Wyscreen.

• Wyscreen Color: If moving colour images and a large display are important, the 31-inch Wyscreen Color is used. The integrated LED panel in industrial quality is suitable for permanent operation and can be retrofitted in lift cars in a 22 mm flat version across manufacturer models (Fig.1).
According to the company, the sturdy installation frame can be attached to the car wall without any trouble. If integration in a local WLAN is not possible, an LTE router is used as an alternative. Laminated safety glass and a continuous anodized aluminium housing also ensure comprehensive protection in emergencies.
• Wyscreen Box: If there are already displays in the existing building or lift (beamers, smart TVs, PC monitors, etc.), these can be retrofitted affordably thanks to the compact box and as a result integrated into the Wyscreen network (Fig. 4). To do so, they are connected to the target display via HDMI and registered in the WLAN.
• Wyscreen E-Ink: This model by contrast can operate independently or without stationary 9-27 V power supply (then up to 12 months) and provides static information on an integrated DIN A4 display. Thanks to the integrated battery and SIM card, the device remains available and can also be operated in the event of power failures. Provision is made for flush installation in panels from 350 mm.
Every Wyscreen can be identified with a clear QR code. If this is photographed with the Wyscreen reader app, all display contents are then in addition announced via push message and can be viewed in the app irrespective of location.
One dashboard for all terminals

Here the operator gets a compact overview of the condition of all devices and can administer them in a targeted manner.
The user assigns new contents for presentation using drag-&-drop to a Wyscreen. After release, these are transmitted directly for display to the device. PDF files and all common image and video formats are available. Consequently, users can create their documents in the environment they are accustomed to without any need for training in new tool chains with proprietary file formats.
Easy device handling

Their presentation can be freely arranged in full-screen mode, templates or via an editor. In addition, display groups permit synchronised presentation of contents, which can also be scheduled and planned.
Data protection is ensured using two-factor authentication, German server locations and continuous encryption according to industrial standards.
“The Wyscreen dashboard scales seamlessly thanks to the integrated rights system for every use case and as a result covers both individual operators as well as more complex company structures in combination with configurable administration areas,” emphasised Quatronix.
Quatronix: Quatronix GmbH emerged in 2019 as an innovation workshop from the joint project work of Matthias Schernikau GmbH/Liftfabrik. Its focus is on embedded soft-and hardware solutions with a connection to web and mobile app applications.
