Regulated and new frequency regulated drive with CANopen interface

News

ALGI has developed a new frequency regulated drive for the interlift. In the “Eco Spin Light” the motor speed is only regulated in upward travel, explained the manufacturer of hydraulic drives.

In addition, ALGI now offers a CANopen interface for all of its regulated and frequency regulated drives.
Optimised and easy parametrisation of the travel curve occurs in both travel directions via the Elcon control card. Adjustments on the control block or the frequency converter are no longer required. In the case of remote access to the controller, the drive provides direct access to the parameters of the travel curve so that use of the hand terminal, tablet and laptop can be dispensed with during adjustment.

The previous energy-saving "Eco Spin" drive is regulated in both travel directions solely via the frequency converter. The travel comfort had been improved and travel time reduced by the latest software version through the direct entry, ALGI emphasised. The CAN drive with digital shaft copying replaced the analogue measurement system and was intended to facilitate user-friendly, uncomplicated handling.

In the regulated "Basic" drive, communication with the controller occurred via an optional board on the "Elcon" control card. "The uncomplicated networking guaranteed easy access to the control card and to the drive data," ALGI explained.

XXL unit for industrial installations

The energy-efficient, hydraulic drives with one or more drive units play an important role in the industrial sector. ALGI now offers new options regarding the attachment and positioning of the frequency converter and oil cooler and the design of the piping. This greatly reduced the previous considerable planning effort and assembly time for lift companies.

All of the new developments could be designed and calculated in ALGI’s online calculator by lift companies, specialist planners and operators. The focus here was not just on the hydraulic drive units but also on the planning and design of hydraulic passenger, cargo and car lifts.

The calculation tool for complete hydraulic lifts has been expanded with new functions to provide users with fast, easy technical shaft calculation. The space requirement of the jack as well as the structure of the supporting frame, which has a decisive influence on the height of the headroom and shaft pit, has been included in the calculation.
