Orona acquires German SME

A German lift company has once again been taken over – this time by the Spanish group Orona.

The company in question is "Aufzugsteam Hildebrandt & Geis" from Hofheim near Frankfurt-on-the-Main. This is already the second takeover of a German lift company by Orona that has come to light. The Group bought AK Aufzüge from Rheinstetten in 2023.

Aufzugsteam Hildebrandt & Geis, established in 2001, claims to service more than 1,000 lifts in the Rhine Main area. The managing director is Markus Geis. The Orona Group did not wish to comment on the takeover at this time.

Orona The Orona Group has been in business for over 60 years. In 2024, the company generated turnover of 1,111 billion euros, an EBITDA of 168 million euros and had 6,486 employees worldwide. Orona currently operates in 13 countries, with sales partnerships in addition in about 100. The company is based in Hernani (Basque country) and is part of the cooperative conglomerate Mondragón.
