Donati takes over Elevator Commerce
Following Germany, France, Belgium and the Netherlands, it’s now Spain’s turn. Donati has expanded its distribution channels for lift and escalator components in Europe with the purchase of Elevator Commerce.
In Alessandro Cattelan’s view, the takeover of Elevator Commerce represented a fundamental step towards the irrevocable transformation of Donati into a leading platform in Europe.
"This transaction is the natural continuation of a long-term strategy that is oriented to international growth and the introduction of increasingly sustainable and digital business models," declared the CEO of Donati. In addition, it represented the merger of two leading companies that "operated in perfectly complementary product areas and geographic markets."
Product portfolio with more than 60,000 articles
As a result of the merger, a company had emerged that this year could generate turnover of almost 100 million euros. Elevator Commerce would contribute about 22 million to this according to a press release. Donati expected revenues of over 72 million.
According to Donati, over 3,500 customers ordered from it. The product portfolio covered more than 60,000 articles. The product range of Elevator Commerce included over 48,000 articles according to its LinkedIn profile.
