New CEO of the Cibes Lift Group

Since 1 March, Martin Lewerth has been the new CEO of the Cibes Lift Group, an international manufacturer of platform and home lifts from Sweden.

According to the company press release, he has extensive management experience, including at the automobile group Scania and the LOTS Group, a specialist for green logistics of the Scania Group.

Most recently, Lewerth worked for three-and-a-half years as Group CEO at the Swedish heat pump manufacturer Aira. His predecessor at Cibes, Per Lidström, will be leaving the Cibes Lift Group after seven years as CEO. Lidström will support Martin Lewerth during the transition and in future work in the company’s Board of Management.

Generated sales of almost 3.6 billion Swedish crowns

Based in Gävle (Sweden), the Cibes Lift Group has been controlled by the Swedish investment company Nalka Invest AB since 2017. According to the company, Cibes had a workforce of about 1,800 employees and generated sales of almost 3.6 billion Swedish crowns (338 million euros) in 2024.

Half of the sales were made in Europe and Africa while Asia, the Middle East and Oceania provided 27 percent. The remaining 23 percent of total sales came from North and South 
America.
