The Elevator Forum has been established for many years, with ever-changing line-ups. This year, the component manufacturers MEILLER Aufzugtüren, ZIEHL-ABEGG, DANFOSS, ALGI, SCHAEFER, NEW LIFT and CEDES have joined forces.
The Elevator Forum is designed as a roadshow and is travelling to eight locations in five countries this year. The dates are spread throughout the year. The first events have already been organised in Hamburg and Stockholm. The event is aimed at operators, specialist planners and lift manufacturers. The fact that the most important lift components are represented by the organisers ensures an interesting and varied programme for the participants. This year's series of events will focus on digitalisation and networking. The Elevator Forum places great emphasis on personal dialogue. Between the presentations, during the breaks and over snacks, participants will have the opportunity for further discussions and to explore the exhibits on display. The knowledge imparted in the lectures can be demonstrated, deepened and tried out directly on the exhibits.
The presentation by control system manufacturer NEW LIFT will explain why the future of lifts will be networked, or even has to be networked. It will look at how lifts are being digitalised and networked and learn more about internal and external networking. It shows how different target groups can benefit from this data. NEW LIFT will use practical examples to illustrate what is already possible today and how this is visualised in the ELEVISION 4.0 dashboard. Condition monitoring as a step towards predictive maintenance as well as available statistics and reports will also be discussed.
Door manufacturer MEILLER will be presenting its intelligent door diagnostics with MEILLER MiDrive and how it can be used to proactively monitor the condition of doors. The function of the MiDrive can also be observed live on a functional door model. The presentation will look at which conditions can be monitored and what information they provide about affected door components. The MEILLER presentation will be supplemented by many practical tips and modernisation solutions.
ALGI will be presenting new and optimised products for hydraulic lifts. These include the control block 2.0 and the SmartPacks (a set consisting of ALGI power pack and NEW LIFT control unit). The ALGI online configurator will also be presented, which significantly simplifies the design of hydraulic components, kits or complete lifts.
SCHAEFER will be presenting intelligent buttons and their use for predictive maintenance. In addition, the remotely maintainable MediaTFT flex display family will be presented. A wide range of widgets and CANopen capability make it possible to implement a variety of lift applications. The two-way emergency call system, which is based on the MediaTFT flex and allows hearing-impaired or foreign language speakers to communicate with the emergency call control centre, will be presented as an example. SCHAEFER will also be presenting the LiftBoy system, which allows the lift to be operated via smartphone. LiftBoy can also make a contribution to improving accessibility.
DANFOSS offers a wide range of solutions/frequency inverters for traction and hydraulic lifts, escalators and moving walks. In the presentation, they will address topics such as cyber security. The MyDrive Suite, software tools that include design, harmonics calculation, commissioning and troubleshooting, will also be presented. In addition to electronic brake control, the role of the drive as a sensor for condition monitoring and analysing the status of the system will also be discussed and it will be pointed out that current and voltage sensors provide a lot of data in real time. Intelligent drives and IoT together provide the basis for data analysis.
CEDES is presenting its solutions under the slogan "Predict. Protect. Perform." and demonstrates its approach to greater safety, better performance and predictive maintenance. The fundamental challenges of the lift industry will be discussed and the CEDES solutions for safety monitoring in the lift shaft "APS & iDiscovery" will be presented. It will also show how this can be used to simplify the lift shaft. The functions of the IoT-enabled cegard/smart light curtains will also be presented.
ZIEHL-ABEGG's presentation will outline the expectations of modern drive concepts. The characteristics of ZIEHL-ABEGG frequency inverters and the contribution/functions they make to digitalisation will also be presented. Many modernisation examples for drive trains and load-bearing equipment and the associated challenges will be discussed using concrete practical examples. In addition to the many possibilities offered by the ZAmon mobile app, e.g. for commissioning and access to measurement and storage functions, the ZAliftWeb configurator will also be presented. This is a configurator for lift packages with which technical designs, design calculations and component selection can be carried out clearly.
