Digital support for maintenance

News

The software producer CSG AUPOS aims to set new standards in digital maintenance and project management through a combination of artificial intelligence, well-conceived deployment planning and mobile apps.

CSG AUPOS Software Solutions GmbH is presenting a more modern and comprehensive version of its M-KART software called M-KART 4.0. The company regards some of the highlights of the current version as the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the maintenance process, graphic assembly- and building site planning and a mobile version.

"We designed M-KART 4.0 to enable companies that have to take care of questions such as the inspection, maintenance and care of heating, pressure containers or lifts as well as facility management, to administer and process their entire order volume," explained Nicole Lüdeke-Pirc, managing director of CSG AUPOS.

Functions of M-KART 4.0

The M-KART 4.0 software is a maintenance and service platform for planning and executive functions. It consists of a desktop application that focuses on the planning, structure, management and care of master data. An app that can be installed on mobile terminals is intended to enable technicians to process orders on site, record time or book material.

AI-supported maintenance

Thanks to learning algorithms, M-KART 4.0 detects patterns in maintenance data, proposes measures and forecasts breakdown risks, according to the software producer. Moreover, the AI assists in the prioritisation of work orders, optimises spare parts logistics and automatically proposes time windows for maintenance work.

Assembly and building site planning

The software includes graphic assembly and building site planning. Drag-and-drop functionality and intelligent testing mechanisms are intended to prevent people, machines, tools or vehicles being double planned. A planning table provides all information clearly in a daily, weekly or annual view in M-KART 4.0.

The purpose of the M-KART mobile app is to support technicians in the field. They can for example record malfunctions in real time, book material in and out, report order progress, document photos and signatures and record and invoice their work times to the minute.

AI assists service employees with requesting error codes, looks for causes after a malfunction and suggests measures to solve the problem. A feature that is likely to prove useful is the preconfigured (but individually adjustable) measurement slip, which the technician only has to fill out on site.

Test, buy, use

M-KART 4.0 can be tested free of charge. "We determine the test period individually with interested parties. It’s normally four weeks," Nicole Lüdeke-Pirc revealed. M-KART 4.0 can be installed on a local PC, a server of the customer or in the cloud. Apart from the inhouse ERP system AUPOS 4.0, M-KART 4.0 can also be connected via interfaces to the solutions of other ERP providers, she said.

Licences to the software can be purchased directly or leased monthly with a minimum period of three years. The respective prices are available on request from CSG AUPOS. Depending on the size of the company, who can use the software should be considered. You can choose between the models "Named User" (the user is a specific named person) and "Floating User" (a limited number of licences are distributed among a larger group of potential users).

About 30 companies of many different sizes and sectors are currently using M-KART. "We have reconfigured the software and designed it to be sector neutral. We want to open up new customer groups with version 4.0," Nicole Lüdeke-Pirc explained.
