Change of management at Cobianchi

Dr Stephan Rohr took over the operational management of Cobianchi Liftteile at the turn of the year and now also holds a majority share in the company of Rudolf Ramseier.

Ramseier will remain a member of the Board of Management. Maria C Germano has left the Board of Management. "I thank Rudolf Ramseier for his entrepreneurial strength and trust in the next generation," declared CEO Stephan Rohr.

"Over the last thirty years, we converted Cobianchi from a trading company to a competence centre for mechanical safety gear," Ramseier told the LIFTjournal.

"To pursue this successful path consistently, we need change, passionate new employees, including young ones, well-founded knowledge of instrumentation and control technology, expertise in sensor technology implementation, experience in preparing interfaces for digital technology, cloud connections and the application of AI," Ramseier continued. Rohr had this knowledge and the part-time students and new employees from business IT at Cobianchi were also suited to this transformation.

Keep things straightforward

Ramseier had conducted many discussions on potential cooperation with Stephan Rohr, Ramseier reported.

"I carefully considered how we could divide the management of the company between us. Unfortunately, I know too many examples where divided management can harm a company over the medium or long term. This is why I decided to keep things straightforward, sell the majority of shares to Stephan Rohr and I look forward to the further development of Cobianchi Liftteile AG in the digitalised world."
