App for Spare Part Identification

News

At interlift 2025, Hauer has focused on digitalization and smart innovations designed to make daily service operations significantly easier.

The Karlsruhe-based spare parts supplier will showcase its latest developments in Nuremberg – including the new "Hauer Lift Lens": an intelligent app for spare part identification using image recognition.

The Hauer Lift Lens is a world-first for spare part identification," says Petra Leonhardt, Managing Director of Hauer. "With this AI-based image recognition app, we are once again setting new standards for identifying elevator and escalator spare parts."

Hauer aims to bring smart technology to spare parts procurement with the Lift Lens app. Thanks to AI-powered image recognition, required parts can be identified in an instant. Service technicians simply photograph the component directly at the elevator – the Hauer Lift Lens then provides suitable product suggestions, including technical data, availability, and alternatives. This means less effort, faster service, and a perfect solution for mixed fleets and tight schedules, Hauer emphasizes.

Smart logistics in action

Hauer is also expanding its logistical infrastructure: with increased storage capacity, highly demanded components are now available in larger quantities.

This reduces shortages, speeds up repairs, and noticeably eases workload, the company highlights. At the same time, picking and shipping processes have been further automated.
