Wittur sells site and relocates

News

Wittur has sold its Wiedenzhausen site to a municipal company owned by the Wiedenzhausen municipality. This information was published on the website of the Bavarian municipality of Sulzmoos.

'The municipality of Sulzmoos is acquiring the Wittur site in Wiedenzhausen through its municipal company,' it states. Through this investment, the municipality aims to secure a central commercial site and expand its options in local economic and location policy.

Wittur confirmed the sale and relocation to LIFTjournal, stating that the new location offers better connections to Munich, the Munich public transit system, and Franz Josef Strauss Airport. This is the "result of continued growing internationalisation". The relocation of Wittur Group Holding is scheduled to be completed by March 2027.

Wittur Holding oversees ten production plants and over 20 sales and service branches worldwide. “Wittur GmbH, which is responsible for sales, distribution, and service operations in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and the Czech Republic, will remain at its location in Wiedenzhausen/Sulzemoos and will continue to serve our regional customers as before,” said Udo Aull, CEO of the Wittur Group.

According to the municipality, the property covers approximately 17,300 square meters. In total, approximately 5,400 square meters of warehouse space and around 6,100 square meters of office space are available. These are complemented by more than 100 parking spaces. The Sulzemoos website further states: “The property has convenient transportation links, both via the nearby highway and via the express bus service to Munich-Pasing.”

The previous owner, Wittur Holding GmbH, plans to remain in the existing premises until the end of March 2027 and then move into the new office in Munich. However, Wittur GmbH also plans to remain based in Wiedenzhausen beyond that date. The office space is to be leased back on a long-term basis to ensure that the location and the associated jobs in the community are secured for the long term, according to the company.
“It was also a key priority that the new owner continue Wittur’s decades-long history at the Wiedenzhausen location and that Wittur GmbH remain represented as a tenant on the new Wittur Campus in the future. This will allow the company’s success story to continue at this location,” explains Martin Taurer, Head of Trading at Wittur GmbH.
