Trainee campaign wins double gold

News

Ziehl-Abegg was honoured twice at the German Stevie Awards: once for the best CSR event and once for the best HR team. There were a total of 450 applications from Austria, Switzerland and Germany for the German Stevie Awards.

Their teamwork, good planning and implementation were enough to secure the trainees victory in the HR section (personnel). The judges praised the general commitment of Ziehl-Abegg to society in view of the preceding work deployments in the Albert Schweitzer children’s village, Hohenlohe open air museum and many school partnerships. This then resulted in gold for the best CSR event (Corporate Social Responsibility).

The ‘door-opening day’ of the "Show with the mouse" gave children an opportunity to take a look behind doors that are otherwise closed (as reported by LIFTjournal). Ziehl-Abegg has been taking part in this for years. Children visit the factory and get to know technology close up. They can have a shouting competition, build amplifiers or cast their own handprint with molten metal. The company from Hohenlohe realised this action day 2019 on all six continents.

About 100 children aged between 9 and 12 came to Ziehl-Abegg in Derrimut (Australia), Singapore (Asia), Johannesburg (South Africa), Cajamar (Brazil), Greensboro (USA) and Kupferzell (Germany). This action had never been carried out worldwide before.
