Three days of presentations, networking and social activities

Elevcon will take place on June 20-22,2023 in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. There is an early bird discount until March 31.

The 23rd International Congress on Vertical Transportation of the International Association of Elevator Engineers (IAEE) provides elevator engineers and vertical transportation professionals a place to meet, network and exchange ideas that will impact the future of the industry worldwide, says the organizer.

The Elevcon Steering Committee plans a programme of presentations and workshops offered by international experts, covering all major aspects of vertical transportation. The Elevcon 2023 is steering committee is led by Dr. Marja-Liisa Siikonen, Finland, MLS Lift Consulting Ltd., and Chairwoman & Programme Manager of Elevcon 2023.

Speakers' papers will be published in book

Additional committee members are John Inglis, OAM, Australia, IAEE President Emeritus; Robert Nicholson, U.S.A, Architectural Elevator Consulting, LLC; Dr. Albert T. P. So, of U.S.A. and Hong Kong, Scientific Advisor, IAEE; Sefa Targit, Turkey, MAKFED Turkish Machinery Federation and Gil Stier, Israel, IAEE Administrative Board Chairman.

Speakers' papers will be reviewed by a Scientific Committee and then compiled and published in book of proceedings Elevator Technology 23, Elevcon 2023, which will be offered at the congress.

Among the topics that will be presented are:
• Future of Elevator Emergency Communication After Traditional Fixed Lines, 2G And 3G Networks Sunset
• Automatic Detection of Objects Blocking Elevator Doors Using Computer Vision
• Condition Monitoring of Elevator Using Deep Learning and Frequency Analysis Approach
• Elevator Evacuation of Tall Buildings

The full list of abstracts is now available online as well as the program. In addition to the technical input, attendees can expect an evening activity and a view into the newest and most innovative technologies that will be presented at the parallel trade show.
