Simmen succeeds Hess at Schindler

Franz-Xaver Simmen is the new CEO of Schindler Aufzüge AG. He took charge of the Swiss national company on 1 April 2025 from Patrick Hess.

After seven years as CEO of Schindler Switzerland, Hess is moving to the group management (the LIFTjournal reports).

Franz-Xaver Simmen has already held several positions in the Schindler Group. Most recently, as the Head of the Supply Chain Europe, he was responsible for all production locations in Europe, including also for the location Locarno, where Schindler produces lift controllers for the local market.
