Rolf Rehbold joins the Bundesverband Metall

Rolf Rehbold assumed the position of departmental head of occupational training at the Federal Metalworking Association (BVM) on 1 January 2026.

Simultaneously Rehbold assumed the management of the metalworking training association (“Bildungswerk Metall”), which also includes the Roßwein Centre for Lift Technology.

Assisted reorganisation of the master’s examination

He had previously been deputy director of the research institute for occupational training in handicrafts for 15 years. In this role, Rehbold together with his team assisted in the reorganisation of the master’s examination in the metalworking and precision engineering handicrafts, among other things.

In addition – in part also in cooperation with the BVM – Rehbold was in charge of projects regarding recruiting new talent, avoiding the breaking off of traineeships, career concepts in handicrafts, specialised careers in metalworking and occupational monitoring.
