Producing lifts with solar energy

News

In December 2020, Lutz Aufzüge put a photovoltaic system on the roof of its production facility into operation.

In future, the company expects to cover over 40 percent of its electricity needs for the plant with the solar electricity it produces.

The total of 364 solar modules each with 350 W peak capacity feed the electricity they produce into the grid of the production building and excess electricity into storage.

Invest in the future

"We’re a family company that is owner-managed in the third generation. Sustainability is one of the most important principles according to which we operate. That’s why it’s also important to us to invest in the future when it comes to the energy supply and reduce our CO2 footprint," emphasised Hans M Lutz, the managing director the company in Reinbek near Hamburg.

Lutz Aufzüge is specialised in the planning, installation and service of individual lifts on land and ships.
