orderbase business now also available via browser

News

The users of orderbase can now also access the ERP solution with current browsers with no installation. This means they can use the same data and process core as in the existing desktop application.

orderbase supports SME lift companies in the areas of order processing, service deployments, planning, warehousing, CRM, quality management and interfaces. All functional areas are based on a joint data model and a central authorisation system.

"The new browser-based usage simultaneously creates the technical basis for completely cloud-based operation, opening up the prospect the software can be operated without server infrastructure of your own," explained the software company from Münster (Germany).

No installation is required

The application is loaded directly in the browser; updates are performed centrally and are available to the user without intervention. Role and rights concepts are adopted from the existing identity service. Usage is possible on many terminals since no installation is required; calculation-intensive processes are handled by the server.

According to orderbase, this means less technical effort for users and more flexibility in operation since neither local installations nor manual updates are required. Parallel use of the desktop and browser-based version remains an option since both access the same functional core.
