New financial director at Ziehl-Abegg

The Supervisory Board of Ziehl-Abegg has appointed Marco Altherr as the new financial director (CFO) of the company. Altherr has taken up his office at the manufacturer of electric motors and ventilators in May 2025.

Marco Altherr, (born 1974), worked in senior financial positions at various companies following his bank apprenticeship and study of economics. From 2011, he worked at the Freudenberg Group, where most recently he was responsible for all financial issues as CFO of Freudenberg Performance Materials. Previous positions were at Manroland and Heidelberger Druckmaschinen.

Altherr will supplement the team of the Board of Directors around Joachim Ley (CEO) and Wolfgang Mayer (CTO). Apart from the classic CFO areas, Altherr will be responsible, among other things, for IT and personnel at Ziehl-Abegg.
