New CEO at the Langer + Laumann Group

News

The Langer + Laumann Group has a new CEO. The former managing director, Martin Platt, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on 1 December 2025 at the age of 58.

In the meantime, Carsten Blanke and Florian Rauch had temporarily taken over the management of Langer + Laumann.

With effect from 1 July 2026, Alwin Berninger has taken over the role of CEO of the Norvestor platform for the lift service business, which comprises the companies Langer & Laumann (L+L), CPM and NDC.

The Langer + Laumann Group had recently acquired a majority stake in the British company Complete Plant Maintenance Engineering Ltd. (CPM) and its subsidiary Northern Drives & Controls Ltd.

Accelerate further growth

"We will specifically accelerate the Group’s further growth through internationalisation and innovation," emphasised the new CEO. "In Alwin Berninger, we have found the right leader to accelerate the growth of this platform," explained Tor Erling Gunnerød, partner at Norvestor and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of L+L.

L+L specialises in retrofit drive and control systems as well as safety-critical lift door components. CPM is a UK-based supplier.
