Kone acquires companies in the Munich area
ATH Aufzüge GmbH, a subsidiary of Kone headquartered in Heilbronn with a branch in Munich, acquired the elevator businesses of two medium-sized elevator companies on January 1, 2026.
These are ASCO GmbH and Szostecki GmbH, based in Unterhaching near Munich.
With this transaction, ATH aims to expand its regional presence in the greater Munich area. Szostecki GmbH was founded in 1966. Following the death of the managing partner in 2014, Sylvia Szostecki continued to run the company, which is active in the fields of elevator, electrical, and building technology.
"For personal reasons and with a view to the future of employees and customers, she decided to hand over the elevator division to new owners with the aim of ensuring continuity and stability," Kone explains in a press release.
