WEG: New ADL500 Elevator Drive at interlift

News

As part of its 50th anniversary celebrations, WEG Automation Europe, a subsidiary of the WEG Group, will be showcasing the ADL500 elevator drive at interlift 2025, which is being held in Nuremberg for the first time.

Building on models such as the AVy, AGy, ADL300 and VDL200, the ADL500 is a versatile, high-performance solution for both new installations and modernisation projects, the company stresses. "Designed and manufactured entirely in Italy, the ADL500 combines state-of-the-art technology with outstanding user-friendliness, delivering a versatile, high-performance solution."

With a power range available from 1.1 kW to 45 kW, and compatibility with both 1-phase and 3-phase supplies (200V and 400V), the ADL500 supports a variety of applications in residential, commercial and public buildings, including offices, shopping centres, airports and single-family homes.

Key features include:
• Extreme simplicity of use
• Universal encoder interface (standard)
• Wi-Fi connectivity for quick setup and remote diagnostics
• Advanced brake control via the EBC500 module
• Compatibility with major protocols: CAN-open, CANopen Lift CiA 417 and DCP3/DCP4.

The EBC500 module offers a certified electronic brake control and monitoring system that anticipates ISO 8100 requirements. This eliminates the need for external contactors and power circuits, thereby simplifying cabinet design and ensuring safety.

The ADL500 is easy to use thanks to intuitive setup wizards, removable linear terminals and universal connectivity options that streamline installation and commissioning, minimising errors and reducing time on-site. The system's performance optimisation guide requires no advanced technical skills.

In addition, the WEG Liftouch mobile app provides step-by-step guidance, interactive documentation and remote access to key parameters, putting full control at users' fingertips. Alongside the ADL500, WEG will present a full range of electromechanical controls at interlift 2025.
