View Solutions GmbH, familiar under the name View Elevator, aims to start anew after its insolvency at the end of 2024.
The takeover by Schober Energie GmbH is intended to ensure the continuation of the company, which is specialised in digital lift management and emergency call solutions.
The future of the company was initially uncertain after insolvency proceedings were opened on 29 November 2024. But Manuel Schober, the brother of the former managing director, Johannes Schober, has now taken over the company. "The investors also had the opportunity to bid but failed to do so," explained Johannes Schober, who is also the managing director of the new limited liability company.
Schober believes there were several reasons for the insolvency. Two of the five investors had already withdrawn two years ago while the other three did not wish to continue financing the company. "The sector is not yet as digital as I would like it to be." On top of this, there were problems such as Corona, delivery difficulties and high research and development costs. Nevertheless, he remained optimistic: as a result of the insolvency, View Solutions had admittedly lost some of its two to three hundred customers, according to Schober. "But I’m still convinced of our concept and believe that it has potential for the future."
In future, View Elevator intends to concentrate more on software and service issues. The LiftBook product in particular, intended for the digital administration of lifts, is to undergo further expansion. Moving forward, it will be possible to manage not just lifts but also other technical installations, such as roll-up doors, fire alarm systems and playgrounds.
This digital management will simplify the observance of ESG criteria (environment, social, governance) in particular and could therefore also arouse great interest outside of Austria, explained managing director Johannes Schober.
Existing customers would once again be able to use View Elevator’s services without restrictions. "We are convinced of the viability of our concept and look forward to promoting the development of the lift sector with innovative digital solutions," Johannes Schober concluded.
