Two-sense lift emergency call now standard
Barrier-freedom in lift emergency calls is now standard at Telegärtner Elektronik. With immediate effect, VNS visual two-sense emergency calling has been integrated as standard in the NRT1XT emergency call telephone.
"As a result, completely barrier-free communication in lifts can now be implemented for the first time comprehensively and economically - especially for people with hearing or speech handicaps," emphasised the manufacturer.
VNS visual emergency calling uses the trapped person’s smartphone. No app needs to be installed, registration is not needed either. As soon as the emergency call button has been pressed, the person affected scans a QR code in the car. The smartphone is automatically connected with the emergency call system via a secure local radio network.
Simple questions appear on the display – the answers to them are sent to the emergency call centre. Feedback that the emergency call had been transmitted and help was on the way appears directly on the smartphone display.
Simple configuration
Additional displays or structural changes to the lift car were not necessary, Telegärtner Elektronik emphasised. The connected emergency call centre did not need any additional reception technology either.
The same technology is also intended to facilitate simple configuration of the emergency call telephone by technicians using smartphones – completely without laptop, special software or Internet connection. "This service mode will save time during start-up and make installation more efficient," according to the manufacturer.
