New technology officer of the VDMA

Eray Gültekin is the new technology officer of the Trade Association Lifts and Escalators in the VDMA (German Engineering Federation). He succeeded Can Demircan on 1 September 2024.

Eray Gültekin has over a decade of experience in the automotive industry, especially in the fields of vehicle development and drive train. His professional career includes positions at the car manufacturer Opel Automobile (General Motors Europe and Stellantis) and the automotive suppliers Continental Automotive and Omron Automotive Technologies Europe.

Implementation of legislation and standardisation

Eray Gültekin is knowledgeable about global project, approval and quality management and multi-project management and engineering. Moreover, he has "successfully conducted the technical management [of several development teams in the international automotive environment] and is extremely familiar with the handling of automotive tools."

Eray Gültekin is a qualified engineer (FH) and studied electrical engineering at the TH Mittelhessen Campus Friedberg. He will be in charge of the implementation of European and international legislation and standardisation in his new role at the Trade Association Lifts and Escalators.
