Medium-sized company takes over lift company
There is another way: Berlin-based medium-sized company Gottschalk und Michaelis has now taken over a small Berlin-based lift company.

Maciej Kranz has been appointed Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Kone Corporation in Finland and thus also a member of the Executive Board.
The appointment of the 54-year-old is a further crucial step in the fundamental digital realignment of the company and its 57,000 employees, says the international company: "Kranz is regarded as one of the pioneers of the Internet of Things."
He held a range of leadership positions at Cisco Systems between 1999 and 2019. Most recently, Kranz served as vice president with responsibility for the network specialist’s strategic alignment.
One of his roles in his new position is as the head of Kone Technology & Innovation (KTI). Kranz succeeds Tomio Pihkala (43), who has taken charge of new equipment business worldwide.
