Meiller Focus at the interlift: modernisation and digitalisation

News

The Munich door specialist Meiller will be concentrating chiefly on two major themes at interlift 2023: modernisation of car and/or landing doors and digitalisation.

The modernisation of lifts is playing an increasingly important role on the market. For this reason, apart from its RepKits (complete sets for the fast, easy replacement of defective car door drives), Meiller will be demonstrating variable options to either replace just the car or landing door mechanism or perform the replacement of a complete car door – ideally without having to modify the car entry.

Meiller will be presenting further developments of its comfort door drive MiDrive in the field of digitalisation. "Visitors will not only discover an improved app and helpful digital features for the setting and maintenance of doors, but can also experience live how the door controller operates in combination with the lift controller when there is a problem with the door," the company explained.

Shorten the waiting time of lift users

In addition, Meiller will be displaying an innovative glass door. The trick is the glass has a special coating that normally prevents from seeing inside the shaft. Behind this, a display is installed concealed in the door leaf on which information can be displayed in the form of text, pictures or videos to shorten the waiting time of lift users. "There will be a live demonstration at the trade fair of how fast and easy it is to update or renew this information," Meiller revealed.

Moreover, the company will be presenting numerous other versions in the field of special doors, such as
- high performance door Supra for heavy traffic
- Sprint 4.0i door for fast-running lifts
- Zenit Xtreme – the door for heavy duty industrial lifts
- the FingerGuard safety system that prevents children’s hands from being trapped
- SmokeGuard – the combination of a fire-tested lift door with a smoke apron, which in the event of fire diverts toxic gases and reduces the danger of further distribution via the lift shaft
- vertical lifting door Premius S4i in explosion-proof design
- four-leaf folding wing-door SINIUS as special solution for existing doors in trade and industry.

Easy installation kit developed

The Meiller technicians have developed an easy installation kit just for special models such as the Zenit Xtreme, Sirius or Premius, which simplifies electrical connection at the building site thanks to prefabricated switching. As a supplement to this, a zone kit for floor recognition is available for existing lift controllers. Both components will likewise be on show at the interlift and their mode of operation explained in detail.

Finally, door sill models will provide an overview of the entire Gravida family. As ever, the 340 m2 trade fair stand of Meiller can be found in Hall 5, no. 5024.
