Kone acquires Paca Ascenseurs

News

Assa Abloy has sold its lift maintenance business Paca ascenseur (Paca) in France to Kone. With this acquisition, Kone intends to strengthen its local presence in the region.

Paca Ascenseurs Services has been operating in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region since 1995. The company specialises in the installation, maintenance and modernisation of lifts and has around 220 employees.

Its turnover in 2022 was €30 million, with a fleet of more than 12,000 lifts and 2,500 automatic doors for private individuals and businesses in the region. Paca will remain an autonomous subsidiary.

Carrying Kone's values

"I find it satisfying that with Kone, Paca and its employees and customers get a committed long-term owner, creating new opportunities for the future and I wish them every success," says Nico Delvaux, President and CEO of Assa Abloy.

"This acquisition is in line with the Finnish group's growth ambitions in its services activities and the modernization of existing equipment", stresses Kone. "This subsidiary retains its autonomy and will contribute to carrying Kone's values, which place people at the heart of its development," said Jérôme Audais, Managing Director of Kone France, Belgium and Luxembourg.

With the acquisition of Paca Ascenseurs Services, the 220 people join the 3,800 employees of Kone’s France-Belgium-Luxembourg organisation. According to Kone, the expansion of the teams "responds to a growth in the services business for Kone in the region".
