"Lifts and escalators are generally considered to be safe and user-friendly. But accidents can happen if users are unfamiliar with the risks or fail to react properly in dangerous situations," according to the Vereniging voor Lift- en Roltraptechniek (VLR).

Information materials in Dutch

This is why the association has put together an info package outlining the rules of conduct for using lifts and escalators.

The member companies of the VLR can pass on the whitepaper, videos and infographics to the owners and managers of buildings so that the latter can in turn tell their tenants about correct handling. The information materials are only available in Dutch.
