Coppy, the new IoT Emergency Phone

News

digicom had launched a new solution for IoT Lift systems for the next years.

Coppy is a universal emergency phone system for PSTN line, where digicom developed new features to simplify installation, add different sensors and options. Coppy has different wireless technologies on board, as Bluetooth 4.0 (BLE) and Radio 868MHz for IoT sensors.

The Bluetooth is used for configuration with a dedicated APP for smartphone to reduce installation time and the possibility to collect information in case of problems.

Support also in blackout conditions

With the 868Mz radio it is possible to receive data from external wireless sensors and remotely transmit to a cloud, to inform about warning or dangerous situations (e.g. detection of water flooding or smoke in car).

The company has also designed a special device "Coppy Radio Button", with a wireless transmitter and an embedded long-life battery. This unit, installed in the PIT shaft, is able to activate remote SOS alarm (when SOS button is pressed) or to report water flooding event, if a sensor is connected to the device.

For maximum performances, digicom suggest to use the new 4G Liftgate able to provide a standard PSTN line using 4G/LTE technology that has an integrated backup battery function to support Coppy also in blackout conditions.
