Ziehl-Abegg has adjusted its corporate structure to future market requirements: in future the company’s internal structure will be based on the four main departments development, production, distribution and sales.
For this purpose the previous different areas of responsibility have been clearly aligned according to these four divisions. To do justice to this new structure, Dr Klaus Weiß has in addition been appointed to the previously three-man Board of Management.
Weiß was born in Westphalia (Germany) and studied mechanical engineering at Karlsruhe Technical University, majoring in continuous-flow machinery and production technology. He did his doctorate at the Darmstadt Technical University at the chair of turbomachinery.
He has developed and supervised various international production locations, for example at Wilo SE (one of the worldwide leading pump manufacturers) and Ebro Armaturen GmbH (industrial fittings). "I look forward to contributing this experience in an important position at Ziehl-Abegg,” Dr Klaus Weiß said. "We will continue to further develop the global production network together with our many employees.”
The responsibilities in the Board of Management are divided as follows following the appointment of Dr Klaus Weiß:
Distribution director: Peter Fenkl (chairman of the Board of Management), Finance director: Achim Curd Rägle, Development director: Norbert Schuster, Production director: Dr Klaus Weiß.
